UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL – American actor, James Franco, denies allegations of sexual misconduct.
At the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 7, Franco won best actor in a comedy or musical, for his role in The Disaster Artist.
After the award, however, actress Violet Paley tweeted, accusing Franco of sexual assault and actress Sarah Tither-Kaplan tweeted, accusing Franco of sexual harassment.
Franco was also criticized for wearing a pin in support of the Times Up movement, which was set up to fight sexual misconduct.
On Tuesday, Franco appeared on The Late Show, where he spoke about the allegations, “The things that I heard that went on Twitter are not accurate but I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long.”
Meanwhile, The New York Times has cancelled an event which Franco was planning to host on Wednesday.
