UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Lights out! The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas faced a Wednesday power outage.

One of the hosts of the show, the Las Vegas Convention Center lost power in some areas starting around 11:14 AM PST, according to The Verge.

The power remained off for almost two hours in multiple halls before being restored.

The initial explanation for the power outage is condensation from heavy rainfall causing a flashover of a transformer at the convention center.

In speaking of “making it rain”, a couple of robotic pole dancers drew some attention during the show.

The robots known as #R2DoubleD and #TripleCPU showed off their moves at the Sapphire Las Vegas Gentlemen’s Club.

The robotic dancers with CCTV’s for heads were created by British Artist Giles Walker for a project called “Peepshow.”

The project is a commentary on the reach of government-controlled surveillance.
