UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — The Philippines has some of the least punctual airlines in the world, according to a recent study.

A study released by British aviation analysts OAG ranked airlines on their on-time performance.

This was based on the percentage of flights that arrive or depart on schedule within 15 minutes.

In the top 10 worst airlines for on-time performance, Cebu Pacific Air came in seventh with an on-time percentage of 57.6.

AirAsia Philippines did slightly better, coming in ninth with 58 percent.

Two Chinese airlines also featured in the worst 10, while Canada’s Air Inuit claimed the worst on time performance with 44.6 percent.

Meanwhile, Japan dominated the rankings, with Japan Airlines ranked No. 1 with an on-time percentage of 85.27.

Japan also claimed second place with All Nippon Airways at 83.81 percent.
