UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — During his first State of the Union address on Jan. 30, President Donald Trump called on the U.S. to come together in a time of division.

In the approximately 80-minute address, the third-longest State of the Union, Trump declared this “our new American moment.”

“There has never been a better time to start living the American Dream,” Trump said.

Trump said that his agenda is working, highlighting a growing economy that he linked to his tax overhaul efforts.

The president also touted his push for infrastructure and immigration reform as well as continued deregulation efforts.

Trump also sought to appeal directly to his conservative base, applauding the elimination of the Obamacare individual mandate and again drawing attention to NFL players who kneel during the national anthem.
