UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos tops Forbes’ latest ranking of the world’s billionaires.

Out of more than 2,200 billionaires, by Forbes’ count, Bezos is the only one whose net worth spans 12 figures.

The 54-year-old is worth $112 billion.

There’s now an eye-popping $22 billion gap between Bezos and the world’s second-richest man, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

Like over 580 others on the list, Bezos and Gates are Americans.

U.S. President Donald Trump drops from No. 544 to 766, as Forbes says his fortune took at $400 million hit over the past year.

The loss is being blamed, in part, on New York’s rocky real estate market.

Meanwhile, a record 256 women are now part of the so-called three comma club.

This year’s list, released March 6, also features nearly 260 newcomers — including the first billionaires from Hungary and Zimbabwe as well as the world’s first cryptocurrency billionaires.
