UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — The Pentagon has issued a memo with guidance for President Trump’s proposed military parade.
The memo, sent to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on March 8, offers the first glimpse on how Trump’s military parade — scheduled for Veterans Day — might take shape.
According to the memo, the parade will go from the White House to the Capitol and include soldiers dressed in period uniforms.
Trump is scheduled to view the event from the Capitol’s reviewing area surrounded by veterans and Medal of Honor recipients.
For those hoping to see tanks roll down Pennsylvania Avenue, you’re out of luck.
The parade will “include wheeled vehicles only, no tanks.”
Trump’s proposed military parade has faced criticism from both sides of the aisle, with some arguing that it could be viewed as a display of authoritarianism and others complaining of the hefty price tag.
