UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao says he will return to the ring on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Pacquiao announced he will face WBA Welterweight World Champion Lucas Matthysse.

ESPN reports Pacquiao’s upcoming bout will be the first without longtime trainer Freddie Roach.

Pacquiao’s longtime assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez will take over in Roach’s absence.

In a tweet posted to Pacquiao’s official Twitter account, he noted that he couldn’t wait to challenge Matthysse for another world title.

Pacquiao, an eight-division World Champion, will look for his 60th career victory.

The fight will be Pacquiao’s first since losing his WBO welterweight title to Jeff Horn in July.

The last bout for Matthysse came in January with a victory over Thailand’s Tewa Kiram.
