UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) —  To celebrate his birthday and fund his divorce, Oscar winner Russell Crowe auctioned off over 200 items of memorabilia.

Crowe separated from Danielle Spencer five years ago and officially divorced Monday April 9, two days after the auction.

The Sotheby auction was titled “The Art of Divorce.” A wide range of movie memorabilia went up for auction on Saturday, ranging from movie costumes to props to art from Crowe’s personal collection.

Some of the most notable items include his breastplate from the movie Gladiator and a 128-year-old violin from Master and Commander.

His jockstrap from Cinderella Man sold for A$8,540 despite a valuation of A$500 to A$600.

His chariot from Gladiator brought in a whopping A$79,300, exceeding its estimation by A$70,000.

In total, Crowe racked up A$3.7 Million. Sounds like a good birthday to me.
