UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Philippine anti-narcotics agents have raided an illegal drug laboratory inside a farm in Ibaan, Batangas.

The April 12  joint operation between the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the national police, and the military led to arrests in three separate locations.

The Hingoso lab manufactured shabu and ecstasy.

Eight people, including four Chinese nationals, were arrested. PDEA director Aaron Aquino identified the Chinese nationals as Xie Jiansheng, Hong Dy, Tian Baoquan and Guo Zixing.

Aquino said the early morning arrests were the result of a tip from China’s National Narcotics Control Commission.

The arrests came two days after Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and expressed support for Duterte’s war on drugs.
