UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Philippine police raided another Chinese-linked illegal drug lab.
After obtaining a search warrant, joint operatives of the national police and drug enforcement agency raided an illicit drug laboratory on Friday, April 13.
The lab produced crystal meth and ecstasy, and was located near an elementary school in Barangay Tinajeros, Malabon City.
Two suspects were arrested. Some local media say one is Filipino-Chinese while others say he is a Chinese national.
The other suspect is reported to be a Filipino man named Lauro Santiago. He has denied the allegations.
This was a follow-up operation to a similar raid the previous day, where anti-narcotics agents arrested four Chinese nationals in Batangas.
These raids come just a few days after Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and expressed support for Duterte’s war on drugs.
