UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL – Twenty-eight-year-old Tim Bergling, famously known as DJ Avicii, reportedly killed himself last month.
According to TMZ magazine, the Swedish DJ inflicted intensive bleeding by cutting himself with broken glass.
His family alluded to him taking his own life in a statement last week, saying, “He could not go on any longer. he wanted to find peace.” His representatives, however, have declined to confirm whether the reports are true.
Avicii who brought dance music into the mainstream with hits like “Wake Me Up,” “Hey Brother” and “Levels” was found dead while on vacation in Muscat, Oman.
He suffered from acute pancreatitis and other health issues linked, in part, to his excessive drinking, and in 2016 he retired from performing.
Meanwhile, his family says Avicii’s memory will always be kept alive by the person that he was and the music that he made.
