UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — The Met Gala this year had people praying for more.

New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted The Costume Institute’s 2018 spring collection with this year’s theme titled, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”

Celebrities stuck closely to the theme with outfits sporting angel wings, crosses, halos and other religious imagery.

Fashion’s biggest event of the year was hosted by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Joining her as co-hosts were singer Rihanna, dressed in a pope-inspired look, Donatella Versace and human rights lawyer Amal Clooney.

The night also brought some memorable moments.

Rapper 2 Chainz proposed to his partner Kesha Ward on the red carpet, and Kim Kardashian arrived without her husband Kanye West, who has been making headlines lately with his support for U.S. President Donald Trump.
