UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Melania Trump introduced her formal platform as first lady of the United States, which aims to improve the well-being of children.

Trump unveiled the campaign, called “Be Best,” during a speech on May 7 in the White House’s Rose Garden.

FLOTUS said that “Be Best” has three main areas of focus: well-being, social media use and opioid abuse.

Trump said that her initiative would promote values in children such as encouragement, kindness, compassion and respect.

Trump also promised to tackle cyberbullying and “highlight the importance of using social media and the internet in positive ways.”

Announcing an official platform has become commonplace for modern U.S. first ladies.

The launch of “Be Best” represents Trump’s most visible action so far as first lady, as she remained largely out of the public eye during her first year.
