UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Another school shooting in the United States has left multiple people dead.
10 people were reportedly killed at Santa Fe High School in Texas, Friday, May 18.
A law enforcement official told CNN nine students and one teacher were reportedly among the dead. Several others were injured, including two officers.
Explosives were also reportedly found on and off the school campus.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said one suspect who is thought to be a student is in custody. He said another person of interest had been detained.
Witnesses said a series of gunshots rang out just after classes began at around 7:30 a.m. local time.
The Houston Chronicle reported the suspect allegedly carried an AR-15-style rifle, a handgun, a shotgun and pipe bombs.
This shooting comes just over three months after a mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida left 17 people dead.
