UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Kanye West took to Twitter June 12 with claims that superhero flick “Deadpool 2” used his sound without his permission.
West tweeted, “I love both Deadpool movies. I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine … bro I would have cleared my music for Deadpool.”
West did follow up with love for the film.
He said, “your guys writing and approach is so innovative … I love how you guys break the 4th wall … thank you for being innovative and please know I’m down to clear next time.”
Ryan Reynolds, the star of Deadpool, was quick to respond.
He replied, writing, “Agree. I’m having a word with Celine Dion.”
“Deadpool 2” features mostly throwback tunes from Dolly Parton, Pat Benatar, Cher, along with an original song from Celine Dion called “Ashes.”
Since its release on May 18, the film has made $657 million, according to E! News.
