UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) – A Philippine court found an Australian man guilty raping and trafficking young girls.
On June 13, Peter Scully was sentenced to life in prison for one count of human trafficking and five counts of rape by sexual assault.
His Filipina partner Carme Ann Alvarez was reportedly also found guilty of the same charges.
Some of the sexual abuses were filmed, uploaded onto porn websites and payments of up to $10,000 were collected from the viewers.
The footage was seized by police and it allegedly shows Scully abusing his victims. One of his victims was 18 months old.
Scully has been in the Philippines since 2011 when he fled Australia to escape fraud charges.
He is also reportedly facing more than 50 other charges from courts across the Philippines, including a murder charge.
