UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) —Serena Williams may be new to motherhood but she’s no stranger to Wimbledon. She won her first match Monday, July 3, and looks on track to make a run at her 8th Wimbledon title.

Thirty-six-year-old Williams powered her way to a win over Netherlands Arantxa Rus in straight sets 7-5 6-3 after a sluggish start.

Williams’ first-round victory comes just months after giving birth to a baby girl named Alexis Olympia in September.

In her first match at the All England Club, she struggled in the second set but reeled off five games in a row for the win.
