UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — A woman harassed for wearing a t-shirt and it was all caught on video.

It happened in Illinois when Mia Irizarry says she was setting up a  picnic at a park in Cook County for her 24th birthday celebration.

A man marched up to her, demanding to know why Irizarry was wearing a shirt displaying the Puerto Rican flag.

The woman recorded the incident and uploaded the video to Facebook.

[Timothy G. Trybus]: “You should not be wearing that in the USA.  Are You a Citizen?
[Irizarry]: “Yes I am a citizen. Can you please get away from me?”
[Trybus]: “Then you should not be wearing that.”

He continues to berate her for several minutes, while a police officer can be seen from a short distance.

Irizarry asks the officer multiple times to step in because she was feeling uncomfortable.

In the video, Irizarry can be heard saying the officer “did absolutely nothing.”

According to police, the intoxicated individual involved was arrested.

As for the officer, he resigned from the PD.
