UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Police have released new sketches of a man suspected of killing an 11-year-old girl 45 years ago.

Newport Beach Police Department released a digital facial composite of the suspect behind the murder of Linda Ann O’Keefe.

Police partnered with Parabon NanoLabs to produce sketches portraying how the suspect might have looked like at the time of the crime and in the present day. The sketch was made using DNA evidence police found on the crime scene.

The profiles show a man with fair skin, blue or green eyes and brown hair. Linda went missing on July 6, 1973, after walking home from summer school. Her body was found the day after at Newport Beach’s Back Bay, strangled and
abandoned in the cattails.

Witnesses said she was last seen talking with a white man in a turquoise van. Police released suspect sketches at the time but found no leads.
