UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) – North Korea says the U.S. government is using “gangster-like diplomacy” tactics.
The two countries met on Saturday, July 7 to discuss denuclearization.
Following the meeting, however, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said the U.S. made demands during the negotiations that were “unilateral and gangster-like.”
It warned the two countries were at a “dangerous” stage and said the U.S. had betrayed the spirit of last month’s summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
A spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, however, tweeted that negotiators “made progress on almost all the central issues.”
Meanwhile, over Twitter on Monday, Trump appeared to ignore North Korea’s comments and said he is confident Kim will honor the denuclearization contract.
Trump also put blame on China for the issues he is having with North Korea.
