United News International (UNI)- The crew of a fishing vessel off the coast of Ireland recently came across an unusual sight while fishing for prawns ― a strange fish with feet.

The fish, called a sea toad, is usually found deep in the Gulf of Mexico and is known to walk along the ocean floor to catch prey.

Sir David Attenborough described it in his documentary mini-series “Blue Planet” as “an ambush predator with an enormous mouth and infinite patience.”

It was found by Patrick Flannery, who notably caught another sea toad in 1988 in the same spot off the coast of Kerry, Ireland.

The fish has only been spotted in Ireland a handful of times.

Kevin Flannery, a marine biologist and director of Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium, said the fish will be sent to the Natural History Museum to be put on display.
