UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) —The magical team at Disney wants to make filmmakers the new princesses of the land.

Disney has partnered with the United Nations Foundation’s initiative “Girl Up” to launch a new project called “Dream Big Princess.”

Twenty-one girls and women from 13 countries were chosen to create short films highlighting women who inspire them.

Real women who work in various industries like entertainment, sports, science and philanthropy will be featured in the documentaries.

Jennifer Lee, CCO for Disney and writer/director of “Frozen,” will be part of the series.

The participating filmmakers will receive special training from Apple and mentorship from Summerjax and Disney film veterans.

Disney will donate $1 to the “Girl Up” initiative for every like and share of the projects on social media platforms.

The films will be released in October.
